New year, new kitchen goodies! That’s the dream for anyone who sees food as their love language. And if you know one of these people, you know their Christmas list is full of gadgets and appliances they can stuff into their kitchen to make more magic happen throughout the year. But getting them the right things is the tough part.
That’s where I hope to come in. As someone who spends her days cooking and creating, I’ve become familiar with what’s useful and what’s not. In my 2022 holiday gift guide, you’ll find some of my favorites—from big spends to stocking stuffers!

I blend a lot—soups, dressings, smoothies, you name it. When it comes to blenders, this KitchenAid model is my first choice. It’s powerful, easy to use, and it results in a silky smooth blend every time. What can I say? I’m a sucker for my air fryer—just like everyone else who owns one. I can confirm that this thing makes can crisp things up just as well as a vat of hot oil, just without the trouble, mess, and extra calories. My air fried Buffalo wings are delicious crispy proof.
Shun Classic 7” Hollow-Ground Santoku All-Purpose Kitchen Knife
Every chef needs a good knife—even at-home chefs. This all-purpose blade is a beauty and one of my absolute favorites. It’s got a heftier price tag, but it’s worth every penny thanks to its sturdiness and longevity.
OXO Good Grips Chef’s Precision Digital Instant Read Thermometer
A meat thermometer is a must in every kitchen and I swear by this one. It’s straightforward and it comes with a very fair price tag!
OXO Good Grips Handheld Mandoline Slicer
I would never advise anyone buy one of those hefty metal mandolin slicers. They’re made to look like they do a better job, but they don’t. They’re clunky, annoying to clean and, in my experience, they fall apart easily. This simple lightweight mandolin slicer is the way to go.
Bamboo Expandable Drawer Organizer
Say goodbye to rummaging violently through your drawers to find a whisk! This drawer organizer will be your new best friend. Drawer organization is essential if you have a lot of spatulas, spoons, etc. and you really don’t know what you’re missing until you have one.
Cast Iron Skillet with Lid
Every cook needs a cast iron skillet. They’re the best natural non-stick piece of kitchen equipment out there and, when taken care of, they can last a lifetime. In fact, one of mine is a hand-me-down from my late grandfather!
