Ingredients

The dough.

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 4 tsp yeast
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 cup warm water

Hawaiian Pizza with Crispy Prosciutto.

  • 1 cup marinara
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup thinly sliced chunks of fresh pineapple, more if desired
  • 3 oz thinly sliced prosciutto
  • Dried chili flakes (optional)

Instructions

The Dough.

  • Place the flour, yeast, salt, and sugar into a large mixing bowl; whisk to combine the ingredients.
  • Set and lock the mixing bowl to the mixer. Attach the dough hook and turn the mixer on low. Slowly add the warm water and let the dough mix for about a minute, or until a nice ball of dough has formed. (Note: You can knead this dough by hand on a lightly floured surface, it will just take a bit longer to form.)
  • Place the dough ball in a large, lightly oiled bowl. Cover it tightly with plastic wrap, and let it sit for an hour.

Hawaiian Pizza with Crispy Prosciutto.

  • Preheat the oven to 450ยบ F.
  • Lightly oil your pizza pan. Transfer the dough out onto it, and work the dough up to the edges of the pan until your pizza dough is fully formed. Spoon the marinara over the center of the pizza and evenly spread it out, leaving about 1/2-1 inch of room for a crust to form. Evenly sprinkle the shredded cheese over the marinara, then top the cheese with chunks of pineapple and prosciutto.
  • Bake the pizza for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden in color. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it sit for about 5 minutes before cutting into it. Garnish with dried chili flakes if you'd like a bit of heat with your salty and sweet, and enjoy!
