Killing Thyme’s Top 10 of 2015
It’s always exciting (and totally crucial) to look back on the year and pore over your successes and failures. It’s a great opportunity to see what worked, where you went wrong, and how you can build upon the results and move forward. Honestly, I love the beginning of a new year. I’m so motivated!
Looking at the results for my top recipes of 2015 was really amusing. The results made sense for the most part what with 2015’s recipe trends and all, but one that makes me want to forever facepalm is the friggin’ Philly Steak Grilled Cheese coming in at #1. Why this sandwich? I can’t help but laugh. I mean, even the story behind it is so uninspiring! This sandwich was made up of leftovers from the night before – a steak dinner I’d decided I couldn’t finish thanks to too many afternoon sangrias that day. So, this was totally a “get rid of leftovers/hangover cure” sandwich and, low and behold, it’s my most popular recipe. Maybe we were all a hot mess in 2015?
I was very tickled to see the Cauliflower Cream Sauce in the top ten, however. This recipe is a phenomenon of sorts because it manages to be delicious, rich, creamy, and still healthy. If you haven’t tried it, you must!
I was also very satisfied to see the Homemade Ramen Bowls snuck in to the top 10. I swear by these Ramen bowls – they are magical and have the ability to turn a shit day into something magnificent.
So, here they are, in a very particular order that I may or may not agree with but the stats have spoken!
